If you happen to be in Lyon, France next week, you can hear me give a talk called The Evolution of Information Architecture on the morning of Tuesday, November 20, 2012. It is part of a series of presentations in both French and English being held by the French Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon and the Canadian Center Jacques Cartier.
For once I will not be speaking exclusively about DITA (though of course it will get a mention) but about Information Architecture in general, not just talking about where it has come from but where I think it is going (hence the “evolution” theme reflected in the picture above). My background is as an IA first, and I teach courses about it at the University of Toronto’s iSchool. Much like my keynote presentation at Content Management Strategies/DITA North America 2012 earlier this year, it will be done using Prezi, and I am hoping that a recording of it can be made available for later viewing.
For more information, view the program for the Information Architecture Colloquium, which runs November 19-20, 2012. Hope to see you there!
Any plans to share the presentations?
Thanks for the reminder: have just posted a link to a PDF version of the presentation at the end of the article, and have also included a link to the SlideShare version as well. Cheers!
