Updated December 2024: What is a DITA platform? I define it as a web-based distribution platform optimized for DITA-based content. A DITA Platform is different from a publication engine (like the venerable DITA Output Toolkit), as the focus is more on delivering content DITA-based content to the web, so there is more of a focus on the platform than the publication process. And in pretty much every case the focus is not solely on delivering DITA-based content, but on unstructured content as well–after all, the Web is mostly comprised of non-structured content.
There are only a few vendors in this market, so I have expanded the descriptions for each product listed.
